Adjudicator’s Message
“The
opportunity to perform poetry to an audience encourages children to
speak clearly and expressively while building confidence and learning to
take command of the stage. When
children are taught to speak poetry they are not only discovering the
many uses of language but they are learning ideas, rhymes and patterns
that are very understandable and exciting to them.
I commend the organizers of the Hong Kong Children Speech
Festival 2019 for providing a welcoming event for children to perform
and share their joy in words.”
